About Jason Blackwell
Jason Blackwell is a proud veteran, devoted family man, and champion of his community.
After honorably serving in the United States Air Force, Jason and his family made Wahoo their permanent home. Today, as a grandfather raising the next generation alongside extended family and friends, his roots here continue to deepen.
A seasoned systems engineer and technology leader, Jason’s post-military career includes supporting the nation’s intelligence community and driving major process improvements in supply chain and logistics. He held key leadership roles at West Corporation, CSG International, and Mutual of Omaha, where he focused on innovation, operational efficiency, and team development. Most recently, he served with the Wahoo Street and Utilities Departments as Assistant Street Superintendent and GIS/Material Management Coordinator.
Jason is running for Mayor because he believes Wahoo’s best days are still ahead — and he’s ready to roll up his sleeves and work for every resident in our community.

Retired United States Air Force veteran with a distinguished career as a logistician, satellite/space systems operator, and electronic warfare officer.
Family Man
A devoted family man with a granddaughter, extended family, and a strong network of friends — his roots in Wahoo have dug in deep and continue to strengthen every year.
Community Leader
Post Commander of VFW Beaver-Bartek Post 4502, Family Founding Member of the Wahoo Area Arts Council, and active member of the Wahoo Cemetery Committee.

Leadership & Service at City Hall
Bring modern leadership and a service-first mindset to City Hall. Establish a unified mission for the city, adopt technology that improves communication and transparency, and build high-performing teams that track results and deliver for residents. Attract and keep quality employees by creating an environment where people can do their best work.
Civic Engagement
Make it easier and more inviting for residents to participate in the decisions that shape our town. Encourage greater involvement in city council meetings, school board, and other civic processes so more voices help guide Wahoo’s future.
Community Connection
Lead with consistent, visible engagement across the community. Show up, listen, and work alongside residents so city government stays connected to the people it serves and delivers results that matter today.
